Pawport is a local-first app. Your dog's photos, walks,
health records, and everything else you create live on your device and sync only through
your own private iCloud account. We do not operate servers that store your
data, and we never receive your dog's information.
What stays on your device
All passport pages, photos, walk routes, and health records are stored on your iPhone.
If you have iCloud enabled, they sync across your own devices through Apple's CloudKit using
your private iCloud account, data we cannot see or access.
Permissions we ask for
Camera, to capture new passport photos. Photos are saved on your device.
Photo Library, to find existing photos of your dog and add them to the
passport. Scanning happens on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Location, to draw walk route maps, label places you visit, and check
walk-time weather. Your location is used on-device and is not sent to us.
Motion, so passport photos tilt and catch the light as you move your
phone. Motion data never leaves your device.
Notifications, optional reminders, scheduled locally on your device.
You can grant or revoke any of these at any time in iOS Settings.
On-device AI
Illustrated portraits and stickers are generated entirely on your iPhone
using Apple's on-device intelligence. Your photos are not sent anywhere to create them.
Apple services
WeatherKit, to show weather conditions on walk pages (provided by Apple).
Sign in with Apple, optional, only if you choose to register. We receive
only what Apple provides, keep it on your device, and do not share it.
What we don't do
We do not collect, sell, rent, or share your personal data.
We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs.
We do not track you across other apps or websites.
We do not require an account to use the app.
Children
Pawport does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children
under 13.
Changes
If our practices change, we'll update this policy on this page. Continued use of the app after
an update means you accept the revised policy.
